- Driver fatigue or drowsy driving is a safety hazard for the road transport industry. The main causes of fatigue are not enough sleep, driving at night (when you should be asleep) and working or being awake for a long time. It is important to be aware of the signs of fatigue. At least the Company shall be registered under Basic Fatigue Management (BFM)

Driver Work Diaries
- Under the Fatigue Management Regulation driver work diaries are required when travel exceeds 100km from base.
- Drivers must ensure that they complete the work diary and submit via the Compliance App.
- Subcontractors must be able to prove to Our Company management that this is completed and being complied to. Refusal from the subcontractor to supply this information will result in Our Company not using this driver until they are able to comply with CoR requirements and this management plan.
Calculating Work Time
- All Our Company employees and subcontractors must complete a timesheet via the Compliance App that gives details of work and rest times.
- Our Company employees are required to access their Daily Record sheet via the Compliance App and complete it throughout the day and fill it in accordingly when they have breaks etc. so that it is always kept up to date.
- Subcontractor drivers must be able to show this information upon request and proof of compliance will be included in subcontractor audits.
