Responsibilities
Responsibilities of Fire Warden
- Coordinate emergency evacuations in the event of fire alarms
- Notify Chief Fire Warden of emergency and initiate emergency response protocols
- In the event of a Bomb threat, assist the Chief Fire Warden as required

Procedures
Responsibilities of Fire Warden
Alarm Response Procedure
- On hearing the alarms collect your Fire Warden Cap and communication device and proceed to notify all occupants within your area of responsibilities to safely evacuate the building.
- (If necessary) Politely ask a colleague if they don’t mind in assisting any mobility impaired person to the assembly area
- Ensure all blind passages, toilets, the lunchroom and storage rooms have been searched
- Notify the Chief Fire Warden at the Fire Indicator Panel when the evacuation of your floor/area is complete, and notify of any remaining occupants
- Wait for any further instruction that may be given to you by the Chief Fire Warden
Bomb Threat Procedure
Be prepared to assist the Chief Fire Warden in the event of a bomb threat.
