Purpose and Objectives

It is the policy of Company that Senior Management, Managers and Supervisors have the overall responsibility to ensure that the Obligations and Responsibilities Statements in this procedure are issued and followed.

Scope

This policy applies to all workers of Company and includes contractors, sub-contractors, apprentices, trainees, work experience students volunteers and members of the public.

Responsibilities of Workers

  • Ensure WHS Procedures and Safe Work Instructions are being followed.
  • Performing all work and associated functions safely.
  • Ensuring work colleagues are performing all work and associated functions safely.
  • Comply with verbal instructions issued by the organisation or its officers.
  • Correct use and maintenance of all personal protective clothing and equipment supplied by the organisation.
  • Establishing and maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness within individual work areas.
  • Reporting any property damage.
  • Attending any toolbox, team talks or specific training supplied by Flinders Shire Council.
  • Working in a manner that will not endanger themselves, other workers or members of the public.
  • Report any concerns for work health and safety to your Supervisor.
