Purpose
This policy supports the commitment of our company to providing its services in an environmentally responsible manner, and to a standard that meets government and community expectations.
Scope
This policy applies to:
- All water, wastewater and waste activities, products and services provided by our company and
- The company area and those areas beyond our boundaries that may be affected by our activities, products and services; and
- All employees and contractors
Policy Statement
The Water and Waste Environmental Management is based in the AS/NZS ISO14001:2015 standard and uses a risk-based approach to identify and manage the potential environmental risks associated with the activities, products and services we provide.
To achieve this our company will:
- Proactively manage the significant risks relevant to all water, wastewater and waste activities, products and services provided by the company.
- Regularly set, review and update environmental objectives and targets related to all water, wastewater and waste activities, products and services provided by the company to achieve continuous improvement in our environmental performance;
- Communicate progress on performance to the community, regulatory authorities, industry and other stakeholders;
- Provide adequate training to all relevant employees to ensure that they are aware of, and committed to the Environmental Policy and competent in fulfilling the requirements in the Water and Waste management;
- Require contractors to demonstrate awareness of and commitment to our Environmental Policy, it’s requirements and this Policy;
- Integrate consideration of environmental factors into our operational activities;
- Regularly review this Policy and supporting policies, procedures, guidelines to ensure they remain relevant to the scale of our activities, products an services; and
- Communicate this Policy and supporting policies, procedures, guidelines to all relevant employees and contractors.
