Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to provide guidance to employees of our company in relation to their availability for work and work-related events/functions or activities.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees of our company including contractors, apprentices/trainees, interns, volunteers and external agency workers (labour-hire).
Policy Statement
Our company expects that employees make themselves available on a reasonable basis during the course of daytime operational hours.
Application of Policy
Employees of our company need to arrive at workstations or sites at least 15 minutes prior to the commencement of operational activities. Employees need to arrive, ready-to-work, so that safety reviews, attendance records and task delegation can be disseminated efficiently and effectively.
Notice
Our company recognises that extenuating circumstances can affect an employees ability to arrive within the desired time frame. Our company expects it’s employees to provide notice, where practicable if they can not meet these requirements.
Policy Review
Our company may make changes to this policy from time to time to improve the effectiveness of its operation. In this regard, any employee who wishes to make any comments about this Policy may forward their suggestions to the Human Resources Manager.
