It is the policy of Company that Senior Management, Managers and Supervisors have the overall responsibility to ensure that the Obligations and Responsibilities Statements in this procedure are issued and followed.

This policy applies to the Chief Fire Wardens of Company.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of Chief Fire Warden
- Lead responses to any emergency alarm
- Lead emergency responses to Bomb threats
- Coordinate response with Emergency services
- Identify training requirements for Company Fire Wardens
Procedure
Responsibilities of the Chief Fire Warden
Alarm Response Procedure
- On hearing the alarm collect your Chief Fire Warden Cap and communication device and Proceed immediately to the Fire Indicator Panel (FIP).
- Ensure that all Area Wardens are advised of the situation.
- Ensure that the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service (QFRS) have been contacted.
- On the arrival of the QFRS, advise them of the location and status of the emergency
- Ensure that there is NO entry/re-entry to the building until authorised by the QFRS.
- Undertake a debriefing session to all occupants to the building
- Raise any concerns you may have about the evacuation to all floor wardens for training purposes
Bomb Threat Procedure
- Liaise with the person that is or has dealt with the threat and assess the situation
- Ensure the Queensland Police Service has been contacted and wait for their instruction on whether to activate the alarm in preparation for an evacuation.
- Be prepared to undertake a search for any unusual or suspicious object.
