Chapter 2.4.9 – Traffic control

Accredited traffic controllers may be used to direct people and vehicles away from an area into which objects may fall.  They may also direct vehicles at a workplace and those entering and leaving a workplace.  They may be used in combination with barricades and signs.  Traffic controllers now are licensed by the Department of Main Roads (or as otherwise known) after providing adequate proof of competency e.g., Certificate from a Registered Training Organisation.
